Other Orientation Sessions
- Wednesday, June 19, 2019 -- Internal Medicine Residents will have a required Critical Care Boot Camp 9 AM - 3 PM in the Erlanger West Wing 2 Conference Room (lunch break Noon - 1 PM).
- Monday, June 24 -- Emergency Medicine Residents will have special program orientation sessions. Velvet Green will contact you regarding details.
- All incoming residents and fellows beginning training July 1 must attend an Erlanger required computer and eCHART (epic) training session (Monday and Tuesday, June 24 and 25, 2019):
- Mon, June 24 (8 AM - 4 PM at 1501 Riverside Drive): Card/GI, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics
- Tues, June 25 (8 AM - 4 PM at 1501 Riverside Drive): Emergency Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Surgery, and Urology
- Wednesday and Thursday, June 26 and 27, 2019, have been set aside for orientation by your departments and program.
- Wednesday, June 26 -- Orthopaedic Surgery Department Orientation, 10:30 AM, in the Orthopaedic Surgery Library (Erlanger POB Elevator B, 2nd Floor)
- Wednesday, June 26 -- Orthopaedic Surgery Residnets: Surgical Skills Boot Campu, 1 - 4 PM, Orthopaedic Surgery Skills Lab (POB Elevator B, 2nd Floor)
- Wednesday evening, June 26 -- Welcome reception on the Southern Belle Riverboat, 6 - 9 PM, for all current and incoming residents and fellows, faculty, and staff.
- Thursday morning, June 27 (9 - 11 AM) -- Special Well-Being Session with all Incoming Residents and Fellows in the Pierce Conference Room (located in the new Kennedy Children's Outpatient Center on the first floor). By 11:15 AM, all Incomnig Residents and Fellows may rejoin their programs for orientation.
- CHANGE -- Friday, June 28, 2019, (7:15 AM - 4:30 PM) -- All Incoming Residents and Fellows who officially being training on July 1 must attend a one-day required hospital and University orientation also in the Pierce Conference Room (located in the new Kennedy Children's Outpatient Center on the first floor). We will have breakfast at 7:15 AM and distribute your lab coats, pagers, all key numbers, logins, etc., ID badges, etc. Please be on time. Dr. R. Bruce Shack, our Campus Deans will introduce our Associate Dean and DIO, Dr. Robert Fore, other Associate and Assistant Deans, Chairs, and Program Directors promptly at 8 AM. Included during the day will be a welcome from the Erlanger Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Will Jackson, insurance representatives, final paperwork and review of key GME information to help you during your training. Lunch will be provided in the Erlanger POB Conference Room. Orientation sessions will resume after official UT photos made in your new lab coats and lunch back in the Pierce Conference Room.
