Dr. Brzezienski is a graduate of The Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He completed General Surgery training at the University of Connecticut, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, and a fellowship training in Orthopedic Hand Surgery at The Philadelphia Hand Center of Thomas Jefferson University.

 

He joined the Plastic Surgery Group and Hayes Hand Center in August 1995.  Dr. Brzezienski is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  He also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.

 

Dr. Brzezienski is Professor, Chair, and Program Director for the Plastic Surgery Residency and an active faculty member in the Department of Plastic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.  He is a member of numerous local and national medical professional societies. He is a published author in scientific journals and lectures frequently on a wide variety of subjects within his field of specialty.

 D. Marshall Jemison, MDD. Marshall Jemison, MD

Medical School:  University of Tennessee, Memphis

 

 

Dr. Jemison, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, graduated with honors from Washington and Lee University and completed his General Surgery internship and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. Dr. Jemison's training then included a one-year fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis.  His training also included a fellowship in Hand Trauma Management in Switzerland with the AO Group. 

 

Dr. Jemison joined the Hayes Hand Center in 1990 and is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He has also received the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand along with other regional and national medical professional societies.  He is an active faculty member in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. 

 

His special interests include hand and upper extremity trauma and its reconstruction, arthritis surgery, nerve surgery and problems and injuries of the wrist and elbow.

Jason Rehm, MD

Dr. Rehm is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. He completed General Surgery training at the University of Nebraska in Omaha and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. After completing his Plastic Surgery residency, he completed a fellowship in Hand/Microvascular Surgery at The University of Mississippi in Jackson.

 

He joined The Plastic Surgery Group and Hayes Hand Center in August 2004. He is board certified with The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also eligible to receive the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Rehm is an active member in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.

 

Dr. Rehm is an active member of the local Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, as well as numerous national societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Jimmy Waldrop, MD

Dr. Waldrop is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school he completed General Surgery residency and Surgical Critical Care/Trauma fellowship at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. He subsequently completed a comprehensive Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency also at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. After completion of surgical training, he joined The Plastic Surgery Group,PC. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is actively involved in the training of plastic surgery residents. He also serves as Chair of the Institutional Scientific Review Committee.  Dr. Waldrop is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery.

 

Dr. Waldrop's practice includes cosmetic surgery of the breast, abdomen, and face. Specifically, breast augmentation, lift, and reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, face lift, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty. In addition to cosmetic surgery, he also performs complex reconstructive surgery and microsurgery. This includes reconstruction of the face, head/neck, breast, trunk, abdomen, or extremities after cancer surgery and trauma. He also has special interest in treatment of facial and mandible fractures and skin cancer.  He is fully trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Todd Thurston, MD
 Assistant Professor

 

Specialty:  Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery
Medical School: University of Alabama 

 

 

 

Dr. Thurston is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine.  While there, he was one of the co-founders of the Equal Access Clinic which provides indigent care for the Birmingham area.  He then proceeded to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he completed an integrated plastic and reconstructive plastic surgery residency.  He subsequently completed a craniomaxillofacial fellowship at The University of Michigan.  After completion of his training, Dr. Thurston joined The Plastic Surgery Group.  Dr. Thurston is the Director of Pediatric Plastic Surgery for Erlanger Children’s Hospital and serves as the region’s only craniofacial surgeon.

Dr. Thurston’s practice includes cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. Additionally, he has a special interest in the care of children with cleft and craniomaxillofacial anomalies as well as interests in research and quality improvement initiatives to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate, affordable and highest quality medical care available.

 

Dr. Thurston is a member of multiple medical professional societies including The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Laryngoscope and the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery.
